AP Summer Assignments

Congratulations! You are a member of the AP World History class at SCPA. You will have 6 different assignments to complete this summer as a way of preparing for our trek into AP World History. These assignments are meant to be informative and engaging and I will be looking for your best work! Here is a brief overview of the assignments which are detailed on the right side of the blog:

1. Read A History of the World in 6 Glasses by Tom Standage and discuss it on the blog.
2. Create a monumental map of the natural world using the terms listed on the link below.
3. Listen to podcasts of the BBC's History of the World in 100 Objects and respond to blog prompts.
4. View the video The Real Eve by the Discovery Channel and answer the prompts listed.
5. Read Why Study World History by Jerry H. Bentley and then write a letter to your future grandchildren explaining your views.
6. Download and read the AP World History Course Exam and Description then sit with your parents and tell them 5 things that you think will be interesting to study next year.
